Dr Michael Wong is an experienced neurosurgeon and spinal surgeon. He consults at both public and private hospitals in Melbourne.

Current Medical Appointments

Consultant Neurosurgeon at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne Private Hospital, John Fawkner Hospital and Mulgrave Private Hospital.

His undergraduate medical training was undertaken at the University of Adelaide. During his undergraduate study, Dr Wong completed an additional year of research in traumatic brain injury and was awarded an Honours degree in Bachelor of Medical Science.

He looks after patients with intracranial problems, spinal problems and peripheral nerves disorder and has a special interest in Minimally Invasive and Complex Spinal Surgery.

We welcome all patients including privately-insured, Workcover, TAC, uninsured, interstate and overseas patients.

2hr and 4hr parking on Wreckyn Street (between Wreckyn/Peel Sts and Wreckyn/Villiers Sts). Underground car parking is available for a fee at the Royal Women’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, both accessible from Flemington Road. Please note that there is also off-street parking available. 4hr parking (for $12) can also be found on the University of Melbourne – Royal Parade Carpark, opposite Royal Melbourne Hospital, located a short distance from Grattan Street
